Mark Boxer is Senior Vice President and Group President, Government Healthcare Solutions, responsible for an organization that is a national leader in the administration and delivery of healthcare programs and services, helping government entities improve the accessibility, quality and affordability of health care. Previously, Boxer served as senior vice president of Global Technology Services for ACS, overseeing the Offices of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Chief Administrative Officer, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Systems Integration/Implementations Group, and ACS’ Offshore Application Centers.

Russell L. Carson

Since 1978 Mr. Carson has been a General Partner of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), one of the Country’s largest private investment firms, which he co-founded. Over the past 30 years, WCAS has raised 15 institutionally funded limited partnerships with total capital in excess of $20 billion and has invested in more than 250 companies. The firm has evolved into the leading specialist in the buyout of privately owned companies in the information services and healthcare industries. Unlike many buyout firms, WCAS emphasizes the growth of acquired businesses and ultimately seeks its financial returns through access to the public stock market. Mr. Carson has focused on WCAS’s healthcare investment activities and is currently a director of three portfolio companies. 

Robert M. Holster

Mr. Holster has been since 2006 Chairman of the Board of Directors of HMS Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq:HMSY), a leader in providing cost containment solutions for government and commercial healthcare payors. He served as HMS's President and Chief Operating Officer from 2001 until 2005 and as CEO from 2005 until 2009. Earlier in his career Mr. Holster served as CEO of HHL Financial Services, Inc., then the nation's largest privately held provider of hospital business office services, as Chief Financial Officer of Macmillan, Inc. and as Controller of the Pfizer Laboratories division of Pfizer, Inc. Mr. Holster holds a BA in Economics (1968) from the University of Connecticut, where he presently is a Director of the University of Connecticut Foundation, and an MBA (1971) from the Columbia University School of Business, where he was a Bronfman Fellow.

William F. Miller III

Mr. Miller joined Highlander Partners in 2006 to facilitate private equity investments in healthcare companies. Mr. Miller has served as the Chairman of HMS Holdings (Nasdaq: HMSY) since 2000 and as CEO from 2000 to 2005 and currently is a Director of this company. From 1983 to 1999, Mr. Miller served as President and COO of EmCare Holdings, Inc., and prior to that, he held financial and management positions in the health care industry. Mr. Miller is also a Director of Lincare Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: LNCR), a provider of oxygen and other respiratory therapy services, Chamberlin Edmonds, a provider of eligibility services for hospitals, and Pioneer Surgical Technology, a manufacturer of spinal and orthopedic implants.

Dr. Michael Shrift

Dr. Michael Shrift is Chief Medical Information Officer and Vice President, Clinical Knowledge Management at Allina Health and Hospitals, Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Allina, an eleven hospital, one hundred clinic integrated delivery network, has attained national prominence through leadership in patient care quality and safety.  This is facilitated by the Excellian implementation, a technology suite including the Epic EMR  that earned Allina the Davies Award in 2007.  Dr. Shrift joined Allina in September 2008 to leverage Excellian for patient care workflow, quality and safety improvements.   His teams have rolled out real-time best practice decision support tools and algorithms (Guardrails and Cattleprods) that advance core measure and national patient safety goal compliance.  These were presented at the Epic International Users’ Group as first to market innovations.  They have contributed to Allina attaining best-in-nation diabetes care. 

Lyman G. Sornberger

Lyman Sornberger joined Cleveland Clinic Health Systems in 2006 and is the Executive Director of Patient Financial Services for the Cleveland Clinic Health System (CCHS). Prior to his affiliation with CCHS he was with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center [UPMC] for twenty two years as a leader in the revenue cycle management. His role at Cleveland Clinic Health Systems is comprised of the Revenue Cycle Management for all 10 Cleveland Clinic Health System Ohio Hospitals and Foundation Physicians. In addition, he is responsible for the management of Weston, Florida Technical and Professional billing. Lyman is responsible for all CCHS billing for the main and regions, patient access for the East and West nine hospitals, and Medical Records, Coding, and transcription for their Main Campus. In total there are 1700 employees under his direction with a model that is both centrally and de-centrally dispersed.

Jay Srini

Jay Srini is currently Chief Strategist at SCS Ventures where she is working with startup companies to help them with their business development and expansion. Jay’s prior experience includes her role as Chief Innovation Officer for UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) Insurance Services Division and her role as Vice President of Emerging Technologies for UPMC providing strategic direction and input regarding emerging technologies and solutions to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and their Insurances subsidiary. Jay was Managing Director for e-Health Initiatives at Internet Venture Works where she led technology and industry assessments of opportunities presented by strategic partners, investors and external sources and served in interim executive management roles for its' portfolio companies before joining UPMC as VP of Emerging Technologies.

Lisa Zuckerman

Lisa Zuckerman is VP, Treasury Services at Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), the fourth largest not-for-profit healthcare system in the US.  CHW operates 41 hospitals in California, Arizona and Nevada, with nearly $9 billion in revenue and over $11 billion in assets. Lisa’s responsibilities include management of CHW’s nearly $5 billion investment portfolio, as well as debt and capital structure management, investor relations, and oversight of cash management functions. Prior to joining CHW, Lisa Zuckerman spent ten years at Standard & Poor’s Corporation, most recently as a Director in Standard & Poor’s San Francisco office, as health care sector leader for the western region.  Lisa served on the Board of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA), and is past chair of the California Society of Municipal Analysts.
