Daniel M. Cain
General Partner
Prior to co-founding HEP, Mr. Cain was a General Partner of CB Health Ventures’ two funds, CB Healthcare Fund (1997) and CB Healthcare Fund II (2001). Mr. Cain was a founder and CEO of Cain Brothers where he currently serves as a Managing Director as well as a member of its Executive Committee. For 27 years, Cain Brothers has focused entirely on the healthcare industry and has deep relationships in the not-for-profit hospital system and health plan world. Previous investments include: eBenX, Sheridan Holdings, Brim Holdings and ConnectiCare (acquired by HIP).

Robert B. Schulz
General Partner
Prior to co-founding HEP, Mr. Schulz was a General Partner of CB Health Ventures’ two funds, CB Healthcare Fund (1997) and CB Healthcare Fund II (2001). Mr. Schulz was President and COO of Harris & Harris Group, (NASDAQ: TINY) a publicly traded venture capital fund (1994 – 1997) and a Director in Investment Banking at The First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse) (1984 – 1994). Investments include: Passport Health Communications, Emageon (NASDAQ: EMAG; acquired by AMICAS), Carefx (Acquired by Harris Corp. NYSE: HRS), CareMedic Systems (acquired by Ingenix / UnitedHealth Group NYSE:UHG), CorSolutions (acquired by Matria), Skylight Healthcare, SCIOinspire and ContinuumRx.

Richard H. Stowe
General Partner
Mr. Stowe co-founded HEP after serving as a Senior Advisor to CBHV’s two funds. He has been active in the private equity business since 1970. He currently serves on the board of MobileMD Inc. He was a General Partner of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe from April 1979, shortly after the firm’s formation, until December 1998. From 1999 until 2005, Mr. Stowe was also a Senior Advisor to Capital Counsel, LLC, a firm managing approximately $1 billion in marketable securities. From 1970 to 1979, Mr. Stowe was a principal of New Court Securities Corporation (now Rothschild Inc.), a large venture capital firm at the time.

David Tamburri
General Partner
Prior to joining HEP, Mr. Tamburri was a Vice President with Susquehanna Growth Equity, a private equity group focused on growth capital opportunities in the technology sector. He was formerly the President and Chief Operating Officer at Onward Healthcare, Inc., a provider of human capital services to healthcare providers sponsored by Welsh, Carson, Anderson, & Stowe. As an Executive Vice President with Pinnacor, Inc., a provider of information and analytical applications, David managed the company’s worldwide operations. Pinnacor completed an IPO in 2000 and was later sold to CBS Marketwatch.
